Redesign of results and winners

In response to this item, we undertook measures to get insights from Oz Lotteries customers as well as your own. We surveyed 5,000 Oz Lotteries commercial customers and a survey was put on the Mater prize home winner's page.
Our findings were that commercial customers were very interested in the result of their ticket as well as whether the draw jackpot had been won. By comparison, 'charity customers' were particularly interested in seeing more about who won the prize and what that prize was.
As such, we have devised a solution which we believe will cater to the needs of the customers. This solution will leverage the WordPress blog integration to surface the most recent winner stories to customers as they peruse results.
There is some minimal set-up required on the blog in preparation in the way of tagging articles with a specific tag.
We will ship this feature turned off and once you have tagged articles we can enable it for your instance.
Attached is a mock-up of what you can expect.

Patrick Gordon: Hi Pat, thanks for the update. At what stage in the Canny process are we as partners engaged to provide feedback on the proposed solution before it is 'shipped'? I was of the understanding we'd be looking at a more wholesale change to this page - is this an interim solution while that is looked at?
Cheers

Camilla Marshall: Hey Camilla,
The problem that came out of the research and discussion with partners was to establish a better way to promote the winners, their prize, and reinforce the social trust in the platform.
To this point, an entire page redesign would likely yield minimal impact to this for a much larger expenditure of effort.
As always we're committed to monitoring our releases, their adoption, and impact. This will help us assess the success and any learnings we can take as we improve this space further.
If there are other issues with this page pertaining to how the individual draw results are demonstrated, we can explore this as another set of work.

EF are very keen to pursue winner page improvements and differentiation. The mandatory requirements would be required by Mater and EF e.g. winning ticket info but winners stories, imagery of winners and their prizes, quotes from winners and what that looks like should not be exactly the same. Our winners are unique to our individual organisations and if the winners page is exactly the same template, we lose that key differentiator as to how we represent our winners to the public. And the level of success to get winners to share their stories, photos and videos will be different for Mater and EF. Can you please consider what differentiation would be possible. Please refer to the original design that EF had created previously that has been provided to Jumbo.

Another issue we are having with results and winners is the images on https://www.materlotteries.com.au/winners. The images next to the draw always show the current prize home or car rather than the prize home or car related to that draw. Supporters have commented that it looks like we keep giving away the same house.
Patrick Gordon
Simone Elliott: The purpose of that banner is to provide a call to action to purchase in the next available draw. It's not specific to the draw result that the larger card is for. I can appreciate why it is confusing for customers. For Oz Lotteries it is less noticeable because of the large variety of products we have.
We have had feedback from Endeavour as well that this space could be better utilised.
We'll take that under consideration when we look at this problem in depth.

We are going to be looking more holistically at where and how we can provide more and better winner related content and how this content can better support the sales process.
This insight and others gathered via customer interviews are all being used to gain a better understanding of what a solution could look like.

Hi Simone Elliott, just to clarify are you requesting for the VIP Club subscription option to show on the Winner's Stories page or were you looking to have a link to the Winners Stories from the VIP Club page?

Hi Tayla Ubank. I've got the following feedback from the team:
A VIP winner blog would be tagged and then appear in the style of a VIP winners widget - same as the winners widget located at the bottom of the homepage. This idea was proposed as part of the initial design as attached. It would appear on the VIP pages:
Let me know if you need any further info.
Thanks
